New Tower 9 Has Arrived in Quarters

The New CVFC Tower 9 is now home and getting fitted out with her equipment. Training will commence in the coming days and the rig should be in service soon. This is a 2022 Pierce Ascendant which features a 100' tower ladder, 2000 GPM pump with 300 gallons of water with a full compliment of ground ladders and all associated equipment a ladder truck carries.... Members of the Chester Volunteer Fire Company recently traveled to Pierce manufacturing in Appleton Wisconsin to complete the final inspection on our new 100’ Mid Mount Ascendant tower ladder that will be replacing a 23 year old ladder truck.... (Full Story & Photos)

CVFC Conducts Ice Rescue Training
CVFC, February 14
The Chester Volunteer Fire Company went all in on Sunday 2/13- Literally! Members that have been specially trained in ice rescue donned the gear and ran through some scenarios on a local pond. This type of technical rescue is not needed often but when it is time is of the essence and the crews need to act very quickly. CVFC Floods Pond at Chubb for better ice !!!
