🚒 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — JOIN THE CVFC TEAM!

Make a Difference. Serve Your Community. Become a Volunteer Firefighter.

For more than 105 years, the Chester Volunteer Fire Company has proudly protected and served the Chester community. We are a 100% volunteer organization, and we are looking for men and women who want to make a difference.

When you join a volunteer fire company, you become part of something much bigger than yourself. You become part of a brotherhood and sisterhood of firefighters — people who are willing to put their time, skills, and courage toward helping their neighbors when they need it most.

🔥 Are You Ready for the Challenge?

Our members come from all walks of life. They work, raise families, have busy schedules, and still find time to serve their community.

Maybe you've thought:

“I don't have the time.”
We understand. Our members have jobs, families, and other commitments too. Volunteering can fit into your life, and we'll help you find a role that works for you.

“I'm afraid of fire.”
That's okay — you should respect it! You don't need to walk through our doors knowing how to fight a fire. Our comprehensive training will teach you the skills and confidence you need to respond safely and effectively.

“I can't drive a big fire truck.”
No problem! Driving is not required to join, and if you decide you'd like to learn, we'll provide the training to help you become qualified.

👨‍🚒 THERE'S A PLACE FOR EVERYONE

You don't need to have experience. You don't need to know how to fight a fire. You don't need to know how to operate a fire truck.

You just need the willingness to learn and the desire to help your community.

Whether you're interested in emergency response, firefighting, driving, equipment, communications, or other aspects of the fire company, there is a job and a role for you.

Come meet us. See what we do. Learn about our training, equipment, and capabilities — and discover how you can be part of it.
