Dear Chester Resident,

On behalf of the Chester Volunteer Fire Company, I would like to thank you for your continued support of our 100% volunteer organization. Through your past contributions during the 2025-2026 Fund Drive, Firemen’s Carnival, as well as the financial support from Chester Borough and Chester Township Municipalities, our firefighters have been provided the best and safest equipment available. Your contributions have over the years modernized our abilities by providing all-terrain vehicles for trail rescue; air fill stations to keep our self-contained breathing units always filled; and provided us new tools to tackle electric vehicle fires. In 2026, your contributions allowed the CVFC to quickly begin furbishing equipment on our new Squad 2.

Our membership is constantly changing with newer members joining. We continuously train our members in CPR, basic structural firefighting, advanced vehicle extrication, and advanced vehicle fires. We support our surrounding mutual aid communities with firefighting capabilities as well as Rapid Intervention Teams, Rescue Task Force, and Ice Rescue. We continue outreach to our local schools, support local service organizations, and provide opportunities to Touch-a-Truck or Meet-a-Firefighter. In 2025, we responded to 406 emergency calls, trained over 870 manhours, and committed over 6,000 manhours toward additional activities such as equipment check, supporting the Chester Lions Club Octoberfest, Chester Day, Chester Night Out, Christmas Tree Lighting, Santa Run, and Menorah Lighting.

Through our annual fund drive, we ask our friends, neighbors, and community members to help fund technology that will better support our emergency responses, and increase the safety and effectiveness of our responding members. For 2026-2027, the Fire Company is seeking to raise funds to procure additional equipment for our new Squad 2 as well as modernize existing equipment across the various technical areas we train within. This includes hoses, air packs, extrication and lifting equipment, nozzles, lighting, communication equipment, and other appliances.
